Microsoft unveils topological quantum processor ‘Majorana 2’ — qubit lifetimes average 20 seconds
Microsoft has announced Majorana 2, which uses a new materials stack. Qubit lifetimes have been extended by more than 1,000× compared with the previous device, and the company aims for a scalable quantum computer by 2029.
